The American custom knifemaker Lucas Burnley embodies the idea of the Japanese Kihon with the design of the Boker Plus Kihon DC. The term originally encompasses the fundamentals and basic techniques of Japanese martial arts, which Burnley translates down-to-earth in the solid everyday knife. Orange anodised rings around the blade axle screw and the large handle screw give the Kihon a fine touch.
